Meet Chad Brown:

With one of the best nicknames in poker, ‘Down Town’ Chad Brown was born and raised in New York City, before making his way

west to the bright lights of Hollywood to pursue a career as an actor in TV and film. Brown, who received his schooling on the Bronx poker scene, became involved in the Californian circuit when in Los Angeles, and from there has built a solid poker career.

With over $2 million in live tournament winnings, Chad is a heavy-hitting all-game player with excellent performances dating back 15 years to the 1993 World Series of Poker*. His first World Series cash came with an 11th place finish in a $1,500 Limit Hold’em event, and Brown has gone on to record a total of 24 money finishes in his WSOP* career, ranking him 63rd on the all-time list. A bracelet still eludes him however, despite five final table appearances, most notably a runner-up spot in the 2007 Series in the $5,000 World Championship No Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball for $324,777.

Brown also plays on the PokerStars European Poker Tour, and has three cashes to his name. The first was also a final table, when he finished fifth at EPT London in Season 3, winning $113,135. His other money finishes came at the Season 3 Grand Final in Monte Carlo, and in Barcelona, at the opening event of Season 5.

Other accomplishments include wining the Bellagio Five-Diamond World Poker Classic Stud Eight-or-Better event in 2002; being named Bluff Magazine’s Player of the Year in 2006; and a second place finish at the 2007 NBC National Heads-Up Championship, behind Paul Wasicka for $250,000.

Chad is also a fearsome opponent online, which he demonstrated when he won the 2006 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker $5,200 HORSE event. That victory paid out $223,125 and clearly shows that Chad Brown is a master of all poker disciplines, and will bring his game on or offline – wherever the action requires.

Chad is a member of Team PokerStars Pro and plays online using the screen name ‘ChadBrownPRO’.
